Nickname: Bos
Location: I'm from Chelmsford, Mass., but I currently reside in Biddeford, Maine.
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 270
Birthday: 04/27/1981
Todays Job: Arborist
Interests: I enjoy cooking, cribbage, ice fishing and spending time outdoors.
Athlete since: 2000 was my first year competing in the college ranks. In 2004, I made my first appearance at the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series in the collegiate championship. 2006 was my first year competing in the professional STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series.
Training per week: I usually spend the winter getting into shape with cardio and weight training. During the spring I do the majority of my event training. Once the season starts, it's mostly about mental preparation and tweaking minor things.

How did you get involved in lumberjack sports?
I was introduced to the sport as a student at the University of Maine.

Best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series discipline:
I consider standing block to be my strongest event, but I'm probably ranked higher in the single buck.

Any advice for the collegiate competitors?
Stay humble and make an effort to train with accomplished axemen.  Become a student of the sport and try to emulate top competitors that have similar physical attributes.

What pro athlete/celebrity would you like to see try one of the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series disciplines?
It's a little late, but I would've liked to have seen Ted Williams rip into a standing block.  Although people called him a natural hitter, he was a true student of the game and his mentality would've taken him far in lumberjack sports.
